Woody rides first matches for Rye House with 5 + 2 at home and an engine faliure while leading his first race and 5+1 at Kings Lynn.
" I was realy gutted to break down after i felt i got that bike going pretty good, it was a 2 pound head gasket that had blown out, I was also excluded from heat 1 at Lynn on the first turn when myself and Steffan Mell were both going for the same patch of dirt but he seemed to slow so i clipped his foot and that was that."

Woody has finalised a deal with Rye House speedway for the 2003 season.

18th DECEMBER 2002
Woody is currantly in talks with Rye House Rockets promotion for the up and coming 2003 season. "Rye House is a good little track with a great bunch of guys racing there so hopefully thats where ill be in 2003"

AUGUST 10 2002 Woody and Partner Lesley-ann get married in Williamstown South Australia.

Well i guess everybody who's interested has heard that Woody won't be racing in the U.K in 2002 because of work permit restrictions. He is curantly back in OZ working in an orchard to save up for a new start to the 2003 season.
